 G&K Services offers several first aid kits and cabinets for mobile units and shops, which exceed all industry regulations, including OSHA and ANSI standards. Reminder: Cal/OSHA Logs Should Be Posted Now

Dave Fischer, of California Employer's Services and ASCCA Chapter 25 President, offered the following advice on TeamTalk. 1) Corporate Taxes are due this month. 2) Your Cal/OSHA logs 300 and 301 should be posted from February to April.

Send in Your Display Before April 1 to Get the Most Points; NorCal's Lead in Countertop Display Contest is Now 78-66
 NorCal's lead has grown to 78-66 in the past week. 41 shops have sent in photos; 23 from NorCal and 18 from SoCal. Chapter 42 has sent in the most, with 8 entries, followed by 5 entries by Chapter 20 and 5 by Chapter 24. March is the last month in which you can get 3 points for an entry. Attention Bosch Beta Shops: Bosch DAD Testing of 1996 through 1999 Vehicles Must be Tested on Both Devices

Beta stations have been allowed to issue certificates on 1996-1999 vehicles with the DAD device. That is no longer the case. Because the Bosch DAD is currently in beta testing, all 1996 through 1999 model-year gasoline powered vehicles must be tested on both the Bosch DAD and the BAR-97. The BAR-97 is the only device authorized to issue a certificate for these model-years.

Governor Proposes Increasing Cal/OSHA Inspections

Governor Brown is proposing creating additional positions for Cal/OSHA to allow for an increased number of enforcement inspections, including a significant increase in planned inspections in high-hazard industries. The reason for this is to meet certain requirements in state law that currently are not being met.

California Automotive Teachers (CAT) Bi-annual Conference to be Held April 24-25 in San Bruno

Skyline College in San Bruno is hosting the Spring CAT 2015 Conference held April 24-25. Eleven hours of training are planned to meet NATEF requirements. On Friday and Saturday, there will be technical seminars, exhibitors, and door prizes. RSVP by April 13, 2015.
