AB 1522 Advances -- Your Help is Needed to Stop It!
On Friday, August 15 the Senate Appropriations Committee voted 5 to 0 in favor of AB 1522 (Gonzalez). This is the bill to mandate paid sick leave, which ASCCA opposes. There were some minor record keeping and other technical amendments, but no amendment to exclude small business from the bill as we had requested. Next the bill goes to the full Senate floor for a vote.
ASCCA needs our members to call or write to your senator and tell them that you oppose this bill. Ask your senator to vote no, or to at least consider amending the bill to exclude small business.
