ASSCA/CAA Legislative Fly-in a Big Success!

The leadership of the Automotive Service Councils of California (ASCCA), partnering with the California Autobody Association (CAA), held its annual Legislative Day on Wednesday, April 30th, 2014. Members from throughout the state convened in Sacramento to hear presentations by influential legislators and policymakers and to highlight legislation which has an impact on the independent automotive repair industry.
ASCCA's attendance increases every year. Many of our members said that when they went to their legislative appointments, the legislators or their aides seemed very receptive and in some cases asked us to stay longer so they could ask us automotive questions. If you didn't make it this year, consider attending next year!

See more legislative day photos on ASCCA's Facebook page.

Are You Showing Off Your ASCCA
A-Frame Countertop Display?

The spring issue of ASCCA's magazine, The California Independent, included as an insert in issues sent to shop owner members an ASCCA A-Frame countertop display. You should assemble these and place them prominently on their counters in the check-out area of their shop. The countertop displays have a built-in business card holder for your shop to place its business cards. Displaying this is a great way to advertise that your business belongs to the ASCCA and therefore has earned a high level of trust for auto repairs.

If you did not receive your countertop display, email Phil Boerner at
