When I saw Jess's pic (above) on her Twitter page, I called to congratulate her and ask her how Metabolic Jumpstart worked...
 
What had you tried before Metabolic Jumpstart?
 
I had already started my weight loss journey with a home-delivered meal program, but I'd hit a plateau and it was getting quite boring. 
 
What made you sign up for Metabolic Jumpstart?
 
I decided that if I was going to keep going, I'd need to learn how to eat properly. Joshua Ferguson from Synchronized Health & Fitness at Mosman recommended MJ to me and I thought this makes sense to combine it with my fitness training. 
 
What changes did you notice in your first 4 weeks?
 
I lost weight and measurements, which was great. Even better, I had more energy even when eating less food - that motivated me to stick to it even more.
 
And what results have you achieved now?
 
I didn't check my weight as my clothes sizes have dropped a couple, so that's enough evidence for me. I'm fitter and have so much more energy to get through my days. I'm not going back.
 
What did you like about Metabolic Jumpstart?
 
How simple it is to follow. As long as I hit my targets, I knew I'm going well. Also, the flexibility to mix things up with new foods. 
 
Are there any foods that you still tend to overeat?
 
Cheese is my challenge. But with 2 Dairy Exchanges I know I can eat it, as long as its in my plan. I like that I don't have to give it up.
 
How do you stay on target now, 12 months along?
 
I pretty much know my Targets and Exchanges and can make adjustments easily. Planning is important and also getting new food ideas from the MJ Club (MJ +) weekly eNews. You've got to keep monitoring and learning. 
 
Best advice for anyone thinking about losing weight?
 
Make a plan and commit for the long term. Don't go on a diet... make a permanent switch and get support along the way.

Here are Joshua's tips to support MJ clients & use MJ in your business...

Put a value on your MJ Coaching
 
I charge clients $40 for 4 weeks "Nutrition Coaching" plus MJ for $79.95. This is an easy added service, which takes up little time. After clients get started I either make a weekly 5-10 minute phone call or even just a text message to check how they are doing.  
 
Include MJ in your packages  
 
MJ is part of my comprehensive fitness packages giving clients great value and me better results.
 
Put together an MJ Welcome Pack  
 
I give every client who starts MJ a Welcome Pack with printed copies of their MJ Report, the MJ Daily Journal Page and a selection of recipes. I use this to show them plan their own menu using the Exchanges. They really appreciate it.
 
Get a vibe going on Facebook  
 
I also post photos of food and meals on my Facebook page to give clients practical examples of nutrient-rich eating and to remind them how important nutrition is for results.
 
What's the best thing about Metabolic Jumpstart?  
 
Before I became a MJ Coach, I wasn't as confident giving nutrition advice. Now, I feel it's much easier and I've got an easy system to use. 
Coach FAQ - When a client has no email?
              
Q: Metabolic Jumpstart is online, so what should I do when a client says they don't have an email address?

A: Don't use your own email address, because you've probably used that already with MJ and it won't work again. 
 
MJ requires a unique email for each person, so you can't double up!
 
The easiest thing to do is get your clients to set up a Hotmail, Gmail or other free email address. Even if they never use it for anything else, this step solves the problem quickly.  
 
You can provide your clients Report (download from your online MJ Club Account after 12-noon next business day) and coach them if they choose not to access the website after they register.
 
If you wish, you can also print out the weekly program emails to give to a client.
 
But, there are so many resources, tools and motivation at the website, I'd encourage your clients to take advantage of all MJ has to offer online.
