All About the Infographic

They seem to be popping up all over the place lately, but just how big have infographics really become? According to an article from NewsCred, Google reports that search queries for the term "infographic" have gone up more than 800% in the last two years. Part of the reason this format has become so popular is that people tend to process visuals much more quickly than text. So what are some tips for creating an infographic? First off, start by outlining the story you're aiming to tell. You'll be limited to minimal supporting copy and need to select images that will get the point across effectively. Speaking of images, if you're adding charts or graphs, be sure they are easy to interpret. One more pointer? Avoid cramming in too much data and overwhelming readers. When planned and designed right, infographics are a fun and informative way to share your message.

We hope our Thursday Thought jump-starts an idea or two for you that leads to more business for your company. Drop us a reply email if you'd like to share a thought or idea of your own, or if you have a question or comment!
