Adirondack Folk School First Annual Adirondack Forge and Hammer Week
Does the idea of hand-forging your own tools, hardware and decorative items sound like fun? Whether you've tried blacksmithing before or it's completely new to you, there is no better time to explore the craft than at the Adirondack Folk School's first annual Adirondack Forge and Hammer Week.
This event will be held at the Adirondack Folk School from August 10 to 18, 2013. Come work side by side with some of the most well- known and talented smiths in the nation such as Mark Aspery, Lucian Avery, Steve Joslyn and Michael McCarthy.
Are you an experienced smith or someone who has always wanted to give blacksmithing a try? You'll find a class to suit your skill level during this weeklong blacksmithing event. Choose from classes, free demonstrations and lectures to broaden your knowledge of blacksmithing.
The Adirondack Folk School teaches the traditional arts, crafts, and culture of the Adirondacks in a hands-on, non-competitive learning environment.
