We are very lucky to have Frank Turley as our demonstrator for the Spring Meet at Ashokan. A key player in the blacksmithing revival that occurred in the late 1960's -early 70's, Frank has taught blacksmithing for over 40 years and is known for his clean, careful forge work and his entertaining character.
As time permits, Frank will demo: a forge welded hinge barrel, combo mandrel/drift for hinge, forge welded rose leaves, hispano-gothic ornament on the diamond (claraboya), portions of aldaba construction, a latch with a curlique fastener, a fire rake with a twisted & fullered handle, with some forge welding thrown in and who knows what else?
Frank will have a limited number of the new edition of his book for sale.
