The Toe River Arts Council invites you to exhibit your work in our Spruce Pine Gallery from March 23 through April 27, 2013. The BLACKSMITH EXHIBIT is held In conjunction with the annual "Fire on the Mountain" festival, sponsored by Spruce Pine Main Street on Saturday, April 27. The exhibit and the festival are related but independent of each other; an application for the festival will be sent under separate cover.

The Toe River Arts Council BLACKSMITH EXHIBIT opens Saturday, March 23 and runs through the day of the "Fire on the Mountain" festival-Saturday, April 27. Because the Arts Council exhibit opens a month before the festival, the application deadline is much sooner. APPLICATION DEADLINE IS MARCH 1.

 

You may place up to three pieces in the exhibit. Work will be accepted in the Spruce Pine Gallery between Monday, March 11 and Friday, March 15. Gallery hours are 10:30-5. You must pick up your work on Saturday, April 27th at the end of the festival. 

If you cannot participate in the exhibit but want to show work in the gallery ONLY during the weekend of the festival (April 26-27), a small space outside the main gallery area will be available. No large pieces will be accepted, and you are required to provide your own labels. This area will be on a first come, first serve basis. 

Shipping costs to and from the exhibition are absorbed by the artist.

Work accepted: MARCH 11 to MARCH 15 

Exhibition dates: MARCH 23 to APRIL 27 

Reception date: APRIL 26 from 5 to 7 pm, Spruce Pine Gallery

Pick up work: APRIL 27, at close of "Fire on the Mountain" Festival (4pm)
