Happy New Year, friends! If you are like me, you might have made the "New Years Resolution/Decision" to be more expansive and to broaden your horizons. Or maybe you have made the decision to be more Real, Healthier, or to have more Fun! (As I am writing this, it occurs to me that each one of the "Women and the Hourglass" images could be a New Years Resolution!)
Whatever you have decided to do, do it because you want to... more than anything. Your heart will say thank you.
We are following our hearts, too. There are many new creations "in the works" for 2016 that will expand our energetic reach. I have started the research necessary to begin a new card line for girls. It feels like this may be the missing link to complete the Circle and a way to inspire conversations with the younger ones. Now is the time! If you have any ideas or suggestions to contribute, please e-mail or call. We are also creating a line of cards called the "Pieces of Me" Collection. It will feature reproductions of original artwork created over the span of the past 15 years. For those of you who became aware of my art prior to the "Women and the Hourglass" series, or you are a man (I know you are out there), this series might be appealing to you. Lastly, I am feeling the urge to loosen up! I have been making art within a certain framework for over five years now and have the strong urge to cut, paste, fling some paint, and who knows what else. This photo is of me, in the process of creating an abstract painting using a recycled canvas from La Quinta, paints I purchased while we were living in Morro Bay, and inspiration offered by our new/old hometown, Grass Valley. Stay tuned...I may cover the whole thing with metallic paints and call it "Sunset". It will be a surprise...
This is a year for "Coloring Outside of the Lines", stepping outside of the box and being BOLD! Are you feeling the same way too? Or maybe you would like to take a nap instead?
