Hospital-Based SIG Update
|
Greetings all! We hope you are enjoying summertime wherever you are. We hope to provide information to our SIG members on a quarterly basis or as new information arises. We have had two conference calls and will plan another in early fall. Please feel free to let the SIG officers know your preferences for topics, days of week, and times of day.
Summary of April Conference Call
Participants for the call were from Massachusetts, Illinois, Tennessee, Alabama, and Missouri. The purpose of the call was to network and share information, plan for additional SIG activities and discuss topics identified by members. The main topics discussed were productivity in hospital settings (including acute care and outpatient settings) and early mobility in ICUs. Ideas were shared and 2 hospitals decided to partner and share resources for falls prevention and creating a culture of mobility within an acute care pediatric hospital. Results of a productivity survey are available for review by HBSIG members. Contact Sheree York if you are interested in this information.
