Call for Proposals: Development of Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (Due June 30, 2016)
The Academy of Pediatric Physical Therapy (APPT) is supporting the development of systematic reviews (SRs) and meta-analyses (MAs) as a service to its members. A fund of $3000 has been made available to support the development of SRs and MAs that can facilitate the translation of research into practice by summarizing the current state of knowledge. SRs synthesize the evidence and identify gaps in the research with regard to clinical questions. MAs use statistical methods to evaluate outcomes across studies. They are the foundation of clinical practice guidelines, but may be more appropriate as evidence products when the literature is sparse or there is uncertainty about the results. To find out more or submit an application, visit www.pediatricapta.org under Section News.
Annual Academy Member Needs Assessment Survey: We Want to Hear from YOU
APPT wants to have the best evidence available to help us make decisions for our membership at the annual Strategic Planning Meeting. Your thoughtful input on this Member Survey will help provide that critical evidence, so we can most effectively address the issues and challenges facing our profession, better serve our membership, and ultimately improve the services we provide to children and families. Last year, 2% of Academy members completed the survey and determined the direction of the Academy for the year - the survey should take no more than 5 minutes to complete. Thank you for your participation!
