EARTH DAY STUDIO

1-hour sessions throughout the day
10 am, 11:30 am, 1 pm, 2:30 pm

Bring in a full shopping bag of CLEAN recyclables & reusables from our list below ...

... then pull up a chair to make the world lovelier place by transforming inviting toss-aways into delightful toys and cool art objects! Lots of stuff for young eco-artists and budding green architects to make-n-take, and contribute to a few larger-than-life collaborative projects, too!


This is a free event (admission without recyclables is $12 1st child, $8 siblings), but spaces are limited! Please email create@notjustart.com or call 516-922-8300 to register in advance.

PLASTIC

* caps & lids of all kinds

* plastic Vitamin Water & Honest Tea bottles

* film canisters (hey, remember those?)
* CDs and/or cases (and those?)

* children's medicine liquid measuring cups

* clear 1 and 2 liter bottles, labels peeled

* plastic berry baskets

* clear plastic egg cartons

* clean #6 plastic containers of any kind

* bubble wrap

METAL

* old spoons & forks, kitchen gadgets,

strainers & sieves, etc

* bottle caps

* metal cans all sizes, labels peeled

* mint tins (Altoids, etc )

* nuts, bolts, screws, wire

* old keys and odd metal "junk drawer" items

GLASS & MISC

* clean baby food jars with lids

* clean wide mouth jars (salsa, jam, etc) with lids

* wine corks

* scrap wood pieces ( no nails or screws)

FABRIC, ETC

* scrap fabric

* ribbon, yarn

* buttons

* clean mismatched socks, mittens & gloves
