Come and Explore Your Wild Side

Sherman Library & Gardens announces the return of the wildly popular family event Creatures of the Night on Saturday evening, October 8.

This fun evening is designed for interacting, observing and learning about the many plants and animals that are most active after dark. Visitors will receive a passport to explore the gardens and visit interactive animal stations that delve into the nocturnal world and its inhabitants.

Get up close to Project Wildsong's Ambassador Wolves. Weave your way through the garden's Forbidden Jungle and get a close look at dissected carnivorous plants. Visit Bug Country to dispel myths of the creepy crawlies, take a look at scorpions under black light and, if you dare, stick your hand in the worm pit!

The evening's adventure will take approximately 1.5 hours and reservations are available for 5:30 p.m. or 7:30 p.m.  This popular rain-or-shine event may sell out, so buy your tickets today!

Free Kids Protection Planning Class

What would happen to your kids should the unthinkable ever happen to you?

Join Morgan Law Group for a free workshop, "9 Easy Steps to Make Sure Your Kids are Protected No Matter What!" The next session is set for Friday, October 7 in Laguna Niguel, or sign up for one of their monthly teleseminars.

Lawyer and mom Darlynn Morgan launched her popular series after learning that 69% of parents don't have their financial houses in order and haven't legally named guardians for their kids.

During this free session, you'll learn how to avoid common mistakes, big expenses and delays of the court system, how to prevent your kids from being sent to foster care, and how to make sure money is immediately available to your chosen guardians. You'll also learn how to make sure your current will, trust and other estate planning documents won't fail when you need them most.

Free registration is required online or by phone, and the workshop address will be provided upon registration. The time to act is now!
