Live United - United Way
Community Investment Volunteers

United Way of Southwest Minnesota is recruiting volunteers to serve on the 2015 Community Investment Committee. This is one of the primary ways that the money that was raised in the recent campaign is put to work to benefit people living in this area.

Orientation is scheduled for Wednesday, April 15th from 4:15PM - 5:15PM at the Marshall Area YMCA.  Each volunteer will be assigned to a panel that will review approximately 5-7 grant applications. The time-limited work will cover approximately 6 weeks of time during April and May.  Volunteers will be expected to spend up to 8 hours (usually in hour-long components during the business day) conducting the reviews and preparing recommendations.

The panel review work is set up at the convenience of each group and needs to take place before May 29th.Volunteers must participate in the orientation session to participate in the review process.

Email [email protected] for more information and next steps.  Please think about your friends and co-workers, also. Encourage them to take part in this valuable work.

We want a diverse group of volunteers who live across Lincoln, Lyon, Murray, Yellow Medicine and portions of Cottonwood, Lac qui Parle, Nobles and Redwood counties.

Your help is appreciated!
