Volunteers are needed throughout SW MN on October 21, 2014 for a short, one-time commitment.

105 volunteers will read Bunny Cakes by Rosemary Wells to children in area schools, libraries and child care centers. Several opportunities are still available.
Jumpstart's Read for the Record is an annual reading celebration that highlights the need for quality early education in America by mobilizing adults and children to set a record for the largest shared reading experience.
"Jumpstart's Read for the Record is a call to action to Americans to recognize the importance of quality early education, especially for our most vulnerable children," said Stephanie Cordes, Education Coordinator. "When children start behind, they tend to stay behind. United Way of Southwest Minnesota is proud to support this campaign."

DINE OUT for United Way of SW MN

There are many opportunities to DINE OUT for United Way during the month of October. Promotions at area restaurants benefit the work of United Way and our community partners.
