United Way of Southwest Minnesota Presents Sandbox Day
Area residents have an opportunity to fill their sandboxes without all the hard work of hauling the sand themselves. United Way of Southwest Minnesota board members, staff, and community volunteers will fill them for you on Saturday, June 7, 2014!

United Way is coordinating Sandbox Day for the second time. "Sandbox Day has been going on for years in Marshall through different organizations and we are proud to be able to continue that legacy again this year. Special thanks to Buffalo Ridge Concrete for the resources to help with this project" said Matt Weller, Resource Development Chair of the United Way Board of Directors.

Proceeds from the one day event will benefit early literacy and school readiness initiatives in Lincoln, Lyon, Murray, Yellow Medicine, western Redwood and portions of Cottonwood, Nobles, and Lac Qui Parle counties.

Sand is $7.00 per wheelbarrow load. To order, please call the United Way office at 507-929-2273 or email[email protected]. Include your name, address, and number of sand loads requested. If you will not be home at the time of delivery, please leave detailed instructions of where you would like the sand placed. Pre-payment is available and other monetary donations will be accepted. Sandbox Day may be cancelled in case of rain. Delivery will be limited to within Marshall city limits and will begin at 8am and run throughout the day until orders have been fulfilled.
