Read for the Record is October 3rd!
|
United Way of Southwest Minnesota is joining with Jumpstart and the Pearson Foundation to carry out the 2013 Jumpstart's Read for the Record campaign, a nationwide effort that draws attention to the importance of early literacy while setting a new world record for the largest shared reading experience on a single day.
Volunteers are needed throughout our service area.
In 2012, 2,385,305 children and adults participated breaking the previous year record! Let us know if you can help read in an area classroom or library on October 3rd, by calling 507-929-2273 or by emailing at unitedway@unitedwayswmn.org. |
It's as easy as 1, 2, 3:
|
1.) Sign up to volunteer on October 3rd. 2.) Read Otis by Loren Long at an area school or library. 3.) Bring attention to the importance of early literacy.
