United Way of Southwest Minnesota Installs Born Learning Trail in Cottonwood, Minnesota!
| The Born Learning Trail is a series of learning activities that help parents, grandparents or other caregivers interact with young children, hopefully boosting language and literacy development in addition to providing outdoor fun. Volunteers joined staff from the United Way to get the trail completed at C.W. Reishus Park a.k.a. the Lake Park in Cottonwood. It's the first fully-functioning Born Learning Trail in the area. It is FREE, open to the public and waiting for countless hours of enjoyment for area families! Other than the two volunteer crews who installed the trail, many other people contributed to the effort, including the city of Cottonwood, which approved the trail and agreed to its upkeep and Cottonwood Lumber Company who donated lumber and time to assemble the signs. For more information on the Born Learning Trail or information on partnering with the United Way of SW MN to install a trail in your community, log onto www.UnitedWaySWMN.org or email Stephanie Cordes, Education Coordinator, at stephanie.cordes@unitedwayswmn.org. |
