Bird Watcher News  September 15th, 2014
Local Bird News

We had a great time at our 7th
Hummingbird Banding Event
at the Buford store on September 6th. Thirteen Ruby-throats were banded and released by employee Julia Elliott, a bander with Georgia Hummers.
Kids got to make crafts, get air-brushed tattoos and a few lucky ones got to release the hummers after the banding process.

Monteen McCord, of Hawk Talk, brought three of her educational owls, including Sammy, a 24-year old Great Horned Owl!

Looking for something fun to do this weekend, September 20-21? Join us at The Big Weekend - Bird 'N Butterfly-A-Thon
at Leone Hall Price Park in Cobb County. There will be bird walks, scavenger hunts, crafts, raffle prizes and much more! Be sure and stop by our table and say "hello".
