It's been a busier than usual July for Georgia

rare birds.

Birders have been treated to a pair of Limpkins
along the swampy lake edges at Georgia Veterans Memorial Park,
Monk Parakeets
nesting near Albany, a

Greater White-fronted Goose

and a

Black-bellied Whistling Duck
at Lake Zwerner in Dahlonega, two
Roseate Spoonbills
at the Big Creek Greenway in North Fulton, and Red Crossbills

at Rock Creek in Fannin County.
