Please remember to join us for our January Vegan Potluck & Presentation! The event is this Saturday from 6:00-8:30 PM at the Houston Community College Conference Center in Houston -- our new monthly event venue! Newcomers are always welcome!

This month, we'll hear about "Vegans Who Rescue Wildlife" with wildlife rehab volunteers Sandy McAvin, Alan Clune, Ph.D. and Victoria Hepburn. Attendees will also learn about "Houston's First Vegan Retreat Center" from Cottage In The Woods founder Nancy Albea.

Our food theme for January is "Vegan Winter Stews and Winter Greens". Nancy will be serving up vegan cupcake samples from the Cottage Greens on-site vegan catering and you can enjoy vegan cheese samples from Treeline Nut Cheeses

We are asking for a donation of $5 per person at the door to help cover our facility rental expenses. ALL attendees must bring a vegan entree for the potluck (serving size to feed 10). Our volunteers will assist at the welcome table upon arrival.

We have plenty of seating at our new venue. All ages welcome! (Families are invited to bring toys and games for their young ones. Children must not be left unattended.)

Kindly keep our events earth-friendly by bringing your own reusable dinnerware and plates. Our eco-ware will be available this Saturday as part of our ongoing fundraising while helping reduce waste at the same time!

Free parking is assigned to our group in the HCC Main Street parking garage on levels 7 & 8. Use elevator from parking garage to 3rd floor breezeway, which leads to the Conference suites. You must enter the building through the parking garage and not street-level, then pass through the Security Desk once inside.

And, if you aren't in the Houston area, we encourage you to start a  "Vegan 2nd Saturdays" in your city or neighborhood! If we can help in any way, please contact us!

Hope you can join us this weekend!
