Vegan 2nd Saturdays Summer Picnics

 July 11   *   August 8
Greetings !

Just a friendly reminder! Our monthly Vegan 2nd Saturdays events are going outdoors for the Summer!

Please join us for fun, family-friendly vegan potluck picnics at the park every 2nd Saturday of the month during June, July and August.

***Note: If there is inclement or unsafe weather conditions (thunderstorms, heavy rains, hurricane winds or flooding), the picnic will be cancelled..

fruit-display.jpg Please note that the CKEL campus venue is under construction for remodeling. We'll be at an outdoor park venue for our June, July and August monthly events. Our speakers, films and presentations will resume again at a new indoor venue after Summer!

The food theme for July is " Vegan Hawaiian Luau". Need some tasty recipe ideas? Check out these recipes from our friends at VRG.org. Plus, you can view Vegan Hawaiian Cooking videos featuring chef Cobi of VeggieTutorials.

Also this month for our Vegan Hawaiian theme, we'll be having a "Best Hawaiian Shirt" contest. There will be a prize!

As always, any food brought to the potluck picnics must be completely vegan and labeled with recipe cards we provide. If you have any questions on vegan ingredients, please email us.

Ray Miller Park offers bike trails, two children's playgrounds, spacious areas with shade and plenty of parking. There is space for volleyball, soccer and bocce ball. This park is near the Energy Corridor area in West Houston at 1800 Eldridge Parkway.

All ages are welcome!
RSVP is appreciated.

Hope you can join us on Saturday here in Houston! And, if you don't have a monthly vegan event in your city, we encourage you to start a Vegan 2nd Saturdays potluck in your area.  You can also visit www.Meetup.com for vegan events listings worldwide.
