"How Becoming Vegan Saved My Life and Inspired Me To Start A Vegan Cookie Company"

Vicki will be sharing her personal journey and the inspiration for creating her own certified vegan business. As founder of the Houston-based Free Cookie Company, she recently launched her delicious gluten-free vegan cookie varieties in Buc-ee's stores across Southeast Texas. Attendees will also get to sample some of these amazing cookies!

Free Cookie Company is generously helping us raise funds for our outreach programs. Cookies will be available at our event this Saturday night with proceeds benefiting Vegan Society of P.E.A.C.E.! We sincerely thank Vicki and Free Cookie Company for their support!

This month, we'll also show short videos on the connection between diet and the environment. And, in honor of Earth Day, we'll be debuting our new eco-ware fundraising items this Saturday. These eco-friendly items work great for our potlucks and can help our nonprofit and reduce waste at the same time!

And, if you aren't in the Houston area, we encourage you to start a "Vegan 2nd Saturdays" in your city or neighborhood! If we can help in any way, please contact us!

Attendees must bring a vegan dish to share (serving size to feed 8-10 minimum) in order to participate in the potluck dinner. Please bring your own reusable dinnerware and utensils.

All attendees are asked to donate $2 per adult to help cover the facility rental costs and supplies used for this event.

C.K.E.L. Reception Hall is at 2353 Rice Blvd. in Houston.
Parking is available across the street at Rice University Stadium for just $1 per vehicle!
