For our March topic on Veganism and Spiritual Awakening, we are excited to present Andy McAvin as our featured guest speaker!

Sandy & Andy McAvin at
Loving Hut Vegan Restaurant

As a young man in the 1970's, Andy encountered a health crisis that forced him to look outside the box of conventional medicine for answers. It was then that he decided to adopt a vegetarian diet, and at the same time, take up yoga, meditation, and practice scientific prayer. Within six months of making these changes he experienced a total and miraculous healing. He continued to follow a vegetarian lifestyle for 30 years until his wife Sandy convinced him to go 'all the way' and become a vegan. His deep love and respect for the animal kingdom made this an easy choice.

Andy was a successful professional actor for most of his adult life, having performed on Broadway, television, and in animated films. He currently makes a living as a powered paraglider instructor and has traveled the world training pilots to fly. World Peace Diet But his current passion is promoting a deeper understanding of our connection to all life through veganism and spirituality. There is a growing worldwide interest in this topic, as noted in several books such as The World Peace Diet, Eating in the Light and The Missing Peace.

Our food theme this month is "Vegan Cuisine of Mexico and Latin America". Enjoy delicious enchiladas, tamales, salsas and more!
