Greetings!
During this first week of 2013, we want to wish you a Happy New Year and thank you for supporting Vegan Society of P.E.A.C.E.. You've watched our independent, 100% volunteer-run nonprofit grow immensely over the past eight years and last year was no exception!Here's a sampling of what our organization achieved in 2012:
- Produced and hosted the 2nd Annual VegFest Houston Festival
 - Held public film screenings of documentaries, such as "Peaceable Kingdom: The Journey Home" and "Eating"
- Invited to speak and present a slide show at a Houston public high school and tabled at a private high school campus
- Outreach booths at Earth Day Houston Festival, Houston Health Summit, Houston Peace Fest, Janmashtami Festival of Houston and other community festivals
- Expanded our annual "Texas Go Vegan Week" campaign
 - Presented Houston's largest annual "Gentle Thanks-living" Event
 - Distributed information on reasons to live vegan as an invited guest at a major Houston area corporation
- Launched our "2nd Saturdays" Monthly Meetings & Vegan Potlucks, which feature discussions, short films, food demos and more
 - Organized vegan bake sales and other creative fundraisers to help sustain our outreach and support VegFest Houston production costs
- Recognized more 100% vegan businesses and caterers in our Houston area VSOP "Vegan Hall of Fame"
As you can see, our dedicated volunteers continue to do amazing work to promote ethical vegan living and compassion for all. We are so grateful for the wonderful, caring people who support our organization year after year. We're also very thankful to those who support Vegan Society of P.E.A.C.E. with donations that help sustain all that we do. There are so many ways to give and we truly appreciate them all.
Vegan Society of P.E.A.C.E. will celebrate nine amazing years in 2013! We are so honored that you believe in us and our mission to make the world a better place for all living beings! The 3rd Annual VegFest Houston will be even bigger in 2013, too, so be sure to watch for our special announcement!
