Dear Parents,
This is just a friendly reminder about the third and final tour payment being due by Friday, February 14, please. This is especially important because of vacation the following week.
The school has already incurred significant costs for this tour, as we have been blessed to obtain tickets for "Les Miserables," "Pippin" and "After Midnight" on Broadway. Honestly, these are the three strongest shows on one tour that I have ever planned. We are also set to dine at some wonderful restaurants (Planet Hollywood, Buca di Beppo and John's Pizzeria), visit Ellis Island, and we are currently planning performance stops and a Broadway Workshop (our students will be learning a scene from one of the shows that we are seeing, taught by someone from the show). We will also attend Mass at St. Patrick's Cathedral with Cardinal Dolan. Thankfully, every parent who is receiving this has completed a Diocesan Field Trip Permission Form, making a commitment to this wonderful tour, so your payment simply honors this commitment, covering the money that the school has already paid for your child.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at rfish@pjp2hs.org, and I'll do my best to help you. In the meantime, I look forward to seeing you in person at our Tour Kickoff Concert on March 11 at 7:00 PM.
Please also add TUESDAY MARCH 4 to your calendars, for a special, LONG REHEARSAL AFTERNOON for the tour. The entire Concert Choir will have a mandatory rehearsal then from 2:40-6:00. We will dismiss at 6:00 so that the students can be home for dinner and homework.
Suzanne Lynch, our wonderful Co-Chair of the Friends of the Performing Arts, will likely be in touch about helping us with snacks and drinks for the tour and rehearsals. Non-perishable snacks (individually wrapped) and drinks with sugar are preferred, to give our singers energy!
I am very much looking forward to our tour!
In Christ,
Richard Fish, Jr.
