I hope that you have had an enjoyable summer. The 2013-2014 Parent-Student Handbook is now available for your review. It will also be available on the Pope John Paul II High School web site in the For Parents/Publications and Forms section.

There have been some changes and I would like to highlight the following:

Dress Code for Females: Changes to the skirt policy

  • Skirts must be worn no shorter than two inches from the top of the knee. Skirts may not be rolled, or secured by safety pins. Short skirts are not appropriate and not allowed.
Retreats
  • Planned retreats are listed, but there are new rules regarding a missed retreat experience.
  • Retreats are an essential part of the spiritual development program at Pope John Paul II High School. During retreat students are encouraged to explore their relationship with God and with one another. Retreats are generally organized and led by Junior and Senior Retreat Leaders. Retreat days are scheduled throughout the year; Freshmen in September, Sophomores in February, Juniors in April and Seniors in November. All students are expected to attend their scheduled class retreat during each of their four years at school. A make-up retreat will be scheduled in the spring for students unable to attend their scheduled class retreat.
