The Practice of Dual Agency is designed to give you an in depth review of the laws of agency as they apply to the practice of dual agency in New Jersey. The basic concepts of agency disclosure, how agency relationships are created, and the fiduciary duties we owe clients differences between the duties we owe clients and customer are briefly reviewed. Through scenarios and studies of court cases the duties we owe clients in dual agency are explored. Key issues in dual agency (confidentiality, informed consent to dual agency, fidelity to the client) will be illustrated.

Basics of Agency - 4 Core

This special 4-hour course will delve into the Common Law of Agency covering how agency relationships can be created and terminated, what constitutes a fiduciary relationship & the six fiduciary responsibilities contained within one, types of agency representation, and circumstances that occur in real estate transactions with the potential of agency consequences. Don't get caught up in agency related problems. Practice Agency Correctly!

As of July 1, 2011 all salespersons, broker-salespersons and brokers are required to fulfill 12 hours/credits of Continuing Education by April 30, 2013 in order to qualify for license renewal on July 1, 2013. At least 6 of the 12 credits must be of CORE TOPICS. The 6 shall include at least 2 credit hours on ETHICS. The remainder can be Electives and or Core.

*The NJ Real Estate Commission charges a $200.00 processing fee for licensees who do not complete their requirement prior to April 30 of the second year of a biennial license term (April 30, 2013).


Anyone who applied or received their NJ Real Estate license on or after 7/1/12 is exempt from completing CE for this term (7/1/2011-6/30/2013).
