The State of South Carolina is pleased to invite you to attend the 2013 Medicaid Enterprise Systems Conference to be held in Charleston on September 8-12, 2013.
The theme for this year's conference "Enabling Healthcare Innovation" will be reflected in the critically important topics discussed to foster innovation in healthcare. Join us as to build upon the momentum and success of previous conferences. The National Planning Committee has developed another outstanding conference including over sixty (60) breakout sessions, twenty (20) industry based sessions, an evening networking Poster Session, and CMS office hours to discuss activities within your state. Additionally, there will be exciting after hours networking opportunities to participate with your colleagues and new friends.
The MESC website provides a log-in feature for conference participants to submit and edit abstracts, and to submit and track sponsorship requests. Additionally, the website provides updated information on conference registration, hotel reservations, sponsorships; the Call for Papers and the Call for Posters.

Call For Papers

The National Planning Committee has identified seven main subject tracks and priority themes for the agenda covering a wide range of topics critically important to enabling healthcare innovation, the theme of this year's conference. The tracks are as follows:
- Eligibility and Enrollment Systems
- Health Insurance Exchanges (HIX) Integration within the Medicaid Enterprise
- Health Information Technology (HIT)/Health Information Exchange (HIE)
- Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA)
- Data Needs/Analytics
- Operations/Management/Procurement
- Standards and Compliance
Abstracts cannot exceed 150 words and must be submitted online. Abstracts will be accepted through the final due date of March 15, 2013.

Conference Sponsorship Opportunities

A great opportunity to connect with your existing and potential clients is available to you at the conference. In 2012, the conference had a record number of almost fourteen hundred (1,400) attendees participating in the conference. Outlined below are the opportunities for sponsorship at the conference.
Booth Rentals: $2,500
Meals: (Food and Beverage Included)
- Breakfasts: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday $3,500 each
- Breakfast: Thursday: $2,500
- Lunches: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday $8,000 each
- Session Breaks: $5,000 (per day-Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday)
Industry Sessions: $3,500 each
Demo Rooms: $2,500 each
Monday Poster Session Reception: Ten (10) Food and Beverage Stations are $2,500 each
Applicable to all of the above - acknowledgement of your organization's sponsorship during the break or meal.

- Full Page: (Front or Back Inside Cover):$5,000
- Half Page: $2,000
- Quarter Page: $1,000

Cyber Cafe:
There is no charge for the sponsorship but the sponsor of the Cyber Café (to be located in the exhibits area) is responsible for providing all hardware and manpower to staff the Cyber Café with 10 workstations equipped with Microsoft Office and a network printer/supplies. In addition, the sponsor must coordinate and pay for all Internet access charges. The conference will determine the required access necessary for the Cyber Café (speed, type of access) and the sponsor must work with the internet provider to meet the requirements determined by the conference. Call For Posters

The Poster Session will be held on Monday evening September 9, 2013 between 6:00-8:00 PM. The event will feature sponsored food and drink stations offering attendees an opportunity to network while viewing the illustrated work of States and their partners.
The Poster Session provides state attendees a way to graphically present a project that might not lend itself to a session or panel discussion. Presenters participate in engaging their colleagues from across the country in an active discussion about their project.
This year's goal is for all states in attendance to showcase their great work. As an incentive to participate, the Conference will provide reimbursement for each participating state for one attendee to include: conference registration fee, hotel accommodation and travel expenses.

Registration for the 2013 Medicaid Enterprise Systems Conference is now open. You may register for the 2013 Medicaid Enterprise Systems Conference by visiting our online conference registration site at MESC Registration. The cost to attend the 2013 Medicaid Enterprise Systems Conference is:
- Government (must be a Government employee): $395 ($455 after August 8, 2013)
- Non-Government/Private (Gov. Contractors & Private Industry): $495 ($555 after August 8, 2013)
Your registration fee provides you with admission to all conference sessions and conference sponsored events (except those that require additional fees from attendees). Your registration fee also provides each attendee with a light breakfast and snack breaks on Monday through Thursday and lunch on Monday through Wednesday.
