"P.R. Hoffman stays competitive in Carlisle"
source: Cumberland Valley Business Journal

Since the 1930s, P.R. Hoffman has been making equipment used to grind and smooth parts for precision instruments. Although your phone, camera, or computer is likely manufactured these days in Asia, it's more than likely made using machines pioneered by P.R. Hoffman.
"We are at the very, very front end of all of these industries - microprocessors, cameras, LEDs, optics," said Kerry Woods, the company's director of sales.

"Trade pact could help and hurt York County jobs"
source: York Daily Record

Chuck McGough, president of CAM Innovation and WTC Board Member, spoke to YDR about how his company will benefit if Congress approves the Trans-Pacific Partnership. CAM Innovation makes machinery that customers like Caterpillar and General Electric use to make large engines. About half of its revenue comes from exports and the company has done business in almost all of the countries that would be part of agreement. "More trade gives us more opportunities," McGough said.

Dairy Import Licensing Program
Import licensing is one of the tools USDA uses to administer the tariff-rate quota (TRQ) system for U.S. imports of dairy products. For dairy products subject to TRQs, a license from the US Department of Agriculture is generally required to import items at the low-tier tariff rate. Individuals must apply annually for a license between Sept. 1 and Oct. 15. Click here for more information.
