As we kick-start our organization's 25th anniversary year, this is a great time to celebrate our accomplishments to date and the expansion in our future. To our members, stakeholders and partners, we cannot thank you enough for your support during these past twenty-five years. We are very excited to share this news with you.
In October 2014, our Board of Directors started a building committee to explore the feasibility of pursuing a partnership with a developer or building owner to establish a branded World Trade Center building in the southcentral Pennsylvania region. We were incredibly fortunate to have connected with Moran Industries, owner of the 'Capitol View Commerce Center', who understands the valuable designation a World Trade Center brings to our region's communities. By renaming 'Capitol View Commerce Center' to become 'World Trade Center Harrisburg', we are signifying to the world that southcentral Pennsylvania continues to be a major international player and has its doors open for global business.
 A World Trade Center is known to boost regional trade, attract new business to a region, stimulate economic growth, increase airport and hotel traffic, and increase capabilities of the regional trade community. Bringing together our organization's existing trade services with a real estate component creates a powerful World Trade Center licensed brand that will help attract companies to the most desirable property in the marketplace.
We continue our promise to 'grow trade' through export/import counseling, education, and referral services. We will also expand our portfolio to include facility services. This will include the use of the World Trade Center Harrisburg building mailing address, temporary office space, permanent office space, and conference room rentals.
We will continue to be accessible in the York community at our strategic partner MANTEC's office.
We cannot wait to continue on our journey at the new 'World Trade Center Harrisburg' building and we're excited for you to come and see it during our open house later this year. Watch for more details soon! |
