WESTFALIA TECHNOLOGIES
CheetSheet published an article that gives insight into the rise of automated parking garages.  In this article, Stoltzfus interviews Westfalia Technologies' Joe DePoto, applications engineering manager, on what goes into installing automated parking. DePoto describes the steps needed to implement a new automated garage and explains how the systems offer superior customer convenience based on each operator's needs.

Some of the main benefits DePoto emphasizes are:
1. Convenience
2. Security
3. No more lost time searching for a parking spot
4. Simple user-friendly design with kiosks or touch screens
5. Smaller footprint

H-1B Visa Information
"Don't Get April Fooled: Be Prepared to Submit Your H-1B Petitions for Foreign Professional Workers on April 1"

By:  Steven J. Koehler, Stock and Leader

Each year, U.S. businesses seeking to hire foreign national employees to meet their employment needs are able to do so through the use of the H-1B visa program. The program is particularly useful for employers wishing to hire scientists, engineers, doctors, computer programmers, accountants, architects, and other "specialty occupations". The H-1B program is capped at a total of 65,000 visas per year (6,800 H-1B's specifically allotted to foreign nationals of Chile and Singapore). Of the remaining 58,200 visas, 20,000 are set aside for professionals with a U.S. master's degree or higher and the remainder are designated for professionals who have a minimum of a four-year university degree or equivalent. Also included in the group of professionals eligible for the H-1B category are fashion models or persons providing services related to Department of Defense corporative research and development projects. Click here to continue
