WTO Report: "COOL" Case
A World Trade Organization (WTO) arbitrator issued its report on December 7, 2015 in the Country of Origin Labeling ("COOL") dispute between the US, Canada and Mexico.  The report concludes that the United States' COOL program harms Canada in the amount of CAD 1.054 billion annually, and harms Mexico in the amount of USD 227.758 million annually. This was the last major hurdle before Canada, and possibly Mexico, will consider imposing retaliatory duties on imports from the United States. Click here for more information.
