Can you believe it?!
RPA President's Message
Were you pleasantly surprised by the excellent work our children produced and showcased at the Open House?  Every year I marvel at what the wonderful Raskob faculty is able to accomplish with our students.  It is amazing what our kids can do in a less stressful and nurturing environment. Thank you to everyone who brought food and paper goods to the Open House last night and thanks especially to Tiffin Goff and Ginny Fine who ordered all of the pizza and coordinated the event for the RPA.

Do you want to get involved with the RPA next school year? Next week, a ballot will be sent to you to vote on officers for the RPA board.  There are still a few open board positions (jobs may be shared!) and some key non-board positions. Please contact me at rpapresident@gmail.com  if you are interested in finding out more.  One key job that we still need to fill is managing the web site.  Debbie Degenshein has done a great job handling this for last three years, but her daughter is graduating. She is willing to teach her replacement and will be reachable by email as needed.

Please mark your calendars for Raskob Awards Night on Wednesday, June 1st.  This is a really fun event for our students as each one receives an academic award, a PE award and individual Presidential Fitness recognition.  Awards Night begins with a reception with light snacks at 5 pm followed by the awards program which starts at 5:30 pm in the Black Box Theater at the VCPA (big white building near the HNU entrance).

Our last RPA Meeting of the year will be on Friday, June 3rd at 8:30 am in the California Room.  We will evaluate how things went this year and make plans for next year. Incoming officers will be introduced and make plans to meet with the officers they are replacing.  We will have an RPA Retreat / Planning session on Saturday, June 11th with old and new board members and others holding key RPA jobs.  An invitation will be coming soon.

Other important upcoming events are the parent education event on the very important topic of internet safety on May 26th (see details below) and the spring concert on Friday, June 3rd at 2pm in the HNU Cafeteria.  The cafeteria is in the same building as the California Room, just keep walking down the main hall and take a left at the end.

Best Regards,
Marianne Mitosinka
