Raskob's New
Garden Area

Here's where some of the monies raised from the current fundraising drive have found a home.
Message from the President

Thank you so very much to everyone who made a donation this week!  Your donations have helped make good strides towards achieving our fundraising goals.

One area where you can see donation money at work is the walled garden area.  Donation money has and will continue to be used here in hopes of transforming this area into a comfortable outdoor learning space for our children. The tables have arrived, and Edee is looking forward to purchasing storage benches and umbrellas. Please visit the garden area to check out the space or take a look at the picture above.

We are getting closer to our goal and need additional help. There is still time to donate; any amount is appreciated. Thank you!

On a very different note...

It's time to let our teachers know just how important they are...Hooray for Teacher Appreciation Week!

The Teacher Appreciation Lunch, catered by the RPA, will be Wednesday, May 4th. To make this a truly relaxing and enjoyable luncheon for the staff, a few volunteers are needed to supervise the playground from 10:45 am-1:15 p.m. while the staff enjoys their meal. Click here if you are able to volunteer. To add a personal touch to the festivities, students are being asked to bring cookies for their teachers Thursday, May 5th.

Thursday the 5th is also the High School Information Night and Fair.  As an 8th grade parent who has lived through the high school decision process, I highly recommend this event for families of 7th graders.  Stefani Wulkan coordinates this event  and will be sending out more information.

Our next RPA Meeting and Quarterly Coffee will be held on Friday, May 6th.  Stefani Wulkan will be our guest speaker and will answer questions about the high school selection process, curriculum at Raskob (she is the lead teacher) and just about anything else (as she is the Assistant Director of Raskob).  She is a great person to get to know and we hope to see a lot of you at the meeting.

Best Regards,
Marianne

Come see a screening of the film "Read Me Differently" by local filmmaker Sarah Entine at Susie Gehring & Jen Nadeau's house near Merritt College (Remi Nadeau).

The film examines the effects of learning differences on family dynamics through the story of three generations of women, all of whom struggled with unidentified LD. There will be a discussion following the film and Sarah (the filmmaker) will join us for a Q&A. It's free, but we would ask for a small donation to provide an honorarium.

Please RSVP to Lisa Scheffer (Kelem's mom) if you plan to
