Message from the President

Welcome back! Hopefully you and your family were able to ease back into the Raskob routine this week. You have until Sunday before our RPA events begin. :) I'm very excited about the parent education event held at my house this Sunday, February 28th, from 4 to 5:30 about assistive technology for our students. Please see the "RPA Happenings" section for more information. My house is easy to get to and there is plenty of parking. The leader of the program is Karen Kelley, a Raskob parent and an expert who advises schools in this area.
Our next RPA meeting will be on Friday, March 4th, beginning at 8:30 am in the California Room. We will discuss our biggest event of the year: THE RASKOB SOCIAL ON SATURDAY, MARCH 19TH! We will also discuss board positions and other key jobs that need to be filled for next year.
Speaking of the Raskob Social, this will be a casual social event for Raskob parents, guardians and faculty. People are asked to bring wine or beer if they would like to. Non-alcoholic beverages and heavy h'ordeurvres will be provided. This is a fun event where families and faculty can get to know one another in a relaxed setting (with no kids!). There will also be an opportunity to make donations by check or credit card for technology, professional development and items for the newly developed garden area. The professional development is the top request of the faculty and administration and will be a customized program to help the teachers optimally use all of the technology that the RPA and school have purchased over the last several years. More details will be provided at the Social and I hope to see everyone there!
Best Regards,
Marianne
