Halloween was a Howling Success!

Message from the President
Join us for a parent education event tonight (11/4) from 7 to 8:30 pm in the California Room on the subject of Nutrition for Children to Maximize Attention and Executive Functioning.  The speaker is Lisa Michelle Miller who is a Certified Nutrition Consultant and owner of Kitchen on Fire.  Feel free to bring to bring guests who may be interested in this subject.  Thank you to Amy Schoenblum for arranging the program.

The RPA wants to help you get a jump on your holiday shopping!  The Book Fair is in full swing and remains open today and tomorrow (as does the online ordering option).  We are hoping for a big response as Raskob receives a 20% book credit on total sales which will be used to purchase additional books for our newly improved library and for the classrooms.  Details regarding the Book Fair including hours and the link to the online sale are provided below.  Also, Sees Candy order forms should have been brought home by your students and need to be returned by November 18th.  This is one of our largest fundraisers of the year and we hope that you consider participating.

Our next RPA meeting is Friday, 11/6, from 8:30 to 9:45 in the California Room (and the Book Fair will be open before and after the meeting).  We will discuss purchasing 30 Chromebooks for Raskob, collecting donations for faculty holiday gifts, and Alumni Night on 12/10.  We are also happy to discuss any topics that you want to raise so come and share your ideas!

A good way to end such a busy week is with a nice glass of wine (or nonalcoholic beverage), good food, and good conversation.  Being a full service parent club, the RPA is providing all of this and more at the home of Mark Headley and Christine Pehl in Berkeley near the Claremont Hotel.  This party is purely social and is for Raskob parents and guardians only.  Details were provided in the Evite which you should have received, but in case you didn't here's the link Parent Social .

Next week won't be so busy, we promise.

Best Regards,
Marianne Mitosinka, RPA
