Message from the President

Happy Thursday all!

There are many Halloween festivities tomorrow.   Students will arrive at school in their regular clothes and change into their costumes for the afternoon fun...parties and a middle school dance!  Thank you to the parents and guardians who are helping to make this such a fun day.

Next week, as you may have heard once or twice, is the Book Fair.   The Fair will be open Wednesday through Friday during the hours listed below as well as the online option.  However, students will preview books on Tuesday and make out their wish lists. At the fair, you will be able to purchase books for the teachers as they have submitted wish lists for their classes.  A fantastic benefit from having the sale is that 20% of total sales will benefit Raskob in the form of a credit that the school can use to purchase books.  The timing is great as the Raskob library has been spruced up, books have been catalogued and additional book needs are being identified.

Our next RPA meeting will be Friday, 11/6, from 8:30 to 9:45 am in the California Room (and the Book Fair will be open before and after the meeting). We will discuss the next Quarterly Coffee in December, Alumni Night, collecting donations for faculty holiday gifts, Sees Candy sales, and a technology wish list being finalized by the Raskob faculty and administration.  We had a great turnout at the last meeting and hope to keep the momentum going.  We have many families that have attended many different schools and it is really helpful to hear about best practices used by other parent clubs.  Please come and share your ideas!

Happy Halloween!
Marianne Mitosinka, RPA President
