Message from RPA President
Greetings.

We hope that you can all join us for the annual Raskob Social on Saturday, March 14 from 6:30-9:30pm at the lovely Oakland home of Wanda and Karl Cole-Frieman. More than 50 parents, guardians and faculty members are planning to attend our biggest social event and fundraiser of the year.  If you have not yet RSVP'd, please do so by Friday as our hosts need to finalize the food and beverage orders. Socializing is the focus of the event, but there will be an opportunity to make donations toward the purchase of specific items requested by the Raskob faculty and administration and voted on by the Raskob Parents Association (so remember to bring your checkbooks and/or credit cards).

Our final teacher appreciation breakfast will be Thursday, March 26. Room parents will be contacting parents and guardians of the elementary students with requests for food, beverages, and paper goods.

We are moving our next RPA meeting to Friday, March 27 from 8:30-9:30am instead of Wednesday, April 1 which is in the middle of field studies week. Please note the change on your calendars.

Lastly, I would like to profile one of our most important board positions which will be open next year as our VP of Communications, Bridget Rivezzo, will be moving on with her son who is graduating. Please see the job description of this important job below and feel free to contact Bridget with questions at brivezzo@gmail.com.

Best Regards,
Marianne
RPA News and Announcements
The VP of Communications

The VP of Communications puts out the weekly Raskob Thursday Notes, sends out invitations, reminders and updates as needed, and works with the Raskob administration to get dates and information on upcoming school events on the Google Calendar. The communication tool used is Constant Contact. Experience using Constant Contact or similar platform is a plus, but not need. It is important that we identify a successor to Bridget prior to the end of the school year so that she can teach the new VP of Communications the systems that are in place.  Please contact Bridget at  brivezzo@gmail.com with any questions about the position and/or to indicate your interest.

Please note the following:
  • Additional open board positions are President, Secretary, VP Fundraising, and VP Academic Resources.
  • Filled positions for the 2015-16 school year are Treasurer, VP of Family Resources and Support, and Past President.
Contact Marianne at rpapresident@gmail.com if you are interested in any of these other positions.
