Message from RPA President |
THANKS ...
It was great to see so many of you at the Back to School Barbecue last weekend and at the Welcome Coffee on the first day of school. I would like to thank Anne Schreiner and Karen Kelly for organizing the barbecue and their husbands, Stephen Etter and Ian Kelly, for manning the barbecue. It was a wonderful opportunity for the kids and their families to meet one another in a relaxed setting.
Thank you to everyone who attended the Welcome Coffee and especially to those who signed up to volunteer. We will be contacting the volunteers in the next week or so if we have not already done so. We will also publicize any positions or committees where we still could use some help.
And a BIG thank you to everyone who has paid their dues. This is a key source of funding for the RPA, particularly this year when our reserves are very low because we bought so much for Raskob last year. Our goal is to have 100% of Raskob families participate at whatever level is comfortable. If you have not paid your dues, you can write a check to the Raskob Parent Association (or complete the credit card form) and mail the dues in, hand them in to Marlen in the office, or bring them to the next RPA meeting.
Speaking of the next RPA meeting, it is next Wednesday, September 3 at 8:30am in the California Room (where we had the Welcome Coffee). We will plan the coming year, penciling in major events on the calendar and setting priorities. We will also discuss what we need to do for Back to School Night which is on Thursday, September 11 from 6-7:30pm.
I hope that the school year is off to a good start and look forward to seeing you at the next RPA meeting and at Back to School Night!
Best Regards,
Marianne Mitosinka, RPA President

- discuss priorities for this year's budget,
- discuss fundraising priorities,
- discuss plans for the book fair, and
- hear committee reports.
Please join us as we set the RPA priorities for the year. Finally, if you're unable to make in person and would like to join us on Skype please contact Bridget Rivezzo, RPA VP of Communications ASAP. We hope you can join us.

Remember all Raskob parents and guardians are automatic members of the RPA, it's the membership dues that are voluntary. The collection of dues is an important fundraiser for the RPA which is why the RPA Board has set a 100% participation goal for the collection of dues this school year. The suggested donation amount is $55, however, you can choose the amount that is right for your family.
