PIZZA FORMS DUE FRIDAY.
Message from RPA President

Please RSVP here to Toast and Taste a Raskob Adult Social which will be on Saturday, March 8th from 6:30 to 9:30 pm.  We are planning a fun evening including delicious food, drinks, socializing and a short presentation about mindfulness by an expert in the field.  There will also be an opportunity to make donations to the school in some key areas.

Our next RPA meeting will be Wednesday, March 5th at 8:30 am in the California Room.  We will discuss final preparations for the Social as well as plans for the parent meeting with WASC (Raskob's accreditation committee) on Sunday, March 9th in the afternoon.  We are hoping that a number of parents will be available to meet with WASC in order to answer their questions and provide useful feedback.

March will be a busy month as it will also include a parent education event on the subject of anxiety in children with learning differences.  The speaker will be Dr. Michael Thomkins and he will make a presentation and take questions from 7 to 8:30 pm on Thursday, March 27th in the California Room. Please RSVP to Marjorie Stamper-Kurn.

Thank you to the elementary teachers and to the Ms. Sweeny, the middle school science teacher, for organizing such a wonderful Invention Convention.  The children came up with some great ideas and did an impressive job of explaining them.

Best Regards,

Marianne

Parent/ Teacher Conferences in March

Sixth and Seventh Grade Parent/Teacher Conferences will be March 3-7. In the spring conferences are optional and Eighth grade families have the option to check in with Stefani Wulkan about high school as needed.

A conference should be scheduled if you have a concern about your child's academic progress and have not had an SST meeting within a month. Please e-mail Ricardo Almada the three most convenient time slots (see below) so he can best meet your scheduling needs. At the conference, you will have your child's advisory teacher and other academic teacher.  More teachers will be involved in the conference depending on availability and need. If there is a teacher you would like in attendance, please state your request in your e-mail. This process is first come first serve. If you feel a conference isn't necessary please send Ricardo an e-mail abstaining, so you can be taken off the conference list. Elementary parents please contact your child's classroom teacher to schedule a conference.

Your email to Ricardo should include:
