Message from RPA President
|
The holidays are rapidly approaching. Please remember to get your See's Candies orders in to the Raskob office by November 21. Another holiday tradition is to make contributions for faculty appreciation holiday gifts. Please read the details regarding how to participate below.
Thank you to Lisa Harper and Jean Souza for coordinating Alumni Night for our 7th and 8th grade students. It is a very useful program in which recent Raskob graduates share their experiences at various Bay Area high schools.
Now let's take a minute to look ahead. If you are interested in helping with hospitality or teacher appreciation, please contact our existing experts in these areas, Karen Degalen and Lisa Jones. They have 8th graders and are willing to pass along their expertise to new apprentices before their children move on to high school. They are still very much involved this year, but could use some assistance. In general, we are trying to find parents who will be at Raskob for a few years to learn about some of the important RPA jobs while the existing officers and volunteers are still here.
Our next RPA meeting will be on Wednesday, December 4, at 8:30 am in the California Room. We really appreciate everyone who can attend and were especially happy to meet some parents new to Raskob at the last meeting. We will begin talking about the spring fundraiser and overall fundraising objectives (e.g. technology, library, etc.) at this meeting.

RPA FUNDRAISING
|
See's Candy Fundraiser
All students will be bringing home the paperwork and order forms to support our annual See's Candy fundraiser. Be sure to check those backpacks this weekend and begin to think about your See's Candy needs for the Holidays. No need to wait in long lines at the See's store when you can place an order, have the items delivered to you at home and have a portion of purchase support Raskob. Don't forget to share the convenient shopping opportunity with your co-workers, family and friends. All orders are due back at school by November 21 - no exceptions. All checks should be made out to RPA. For questions contact Dayna.

Faculty/Staff Holiday Gifts
Let's show the Raskob faculty and staff how much we appreciate them by contributing to holiday gifts. In order to participate we ask that you please give your contribution to Marlen in the Raskob office either in person or by mail. If you mail your contribution please send them to Marlen's attention at Raskob Day School - Holy Names University - 3520 Mountain Blvd. 94619. The suggested donation is $50 as there are many teachers, aides, therapists and administrators at Raskob, but any amount is welcome. The funds will be consolidated, divided up and presented to the faculty members at a holiday luncheon. Please make checks payable to Marianne Mitosinka, who is in charge of collecting the funds. The funds should be received by Monday, December 9. Contact Marianne for questions.
