Message from RPA President

We have a busy week ahead.  The Book Fair will be open online and in person from Tuesday, Nov.5-Nov.10.  Proceeds are used by Raskob to purchase needed books for classrooms and the library.

On Tuesday, Nov. 5, we have our first parent education event from 7-8:30 pm in the California Room.  The topic is internet safety, keeping our children safe in the digital age, and it is being presented by a nationally recognized expert, Officer Steve DeWarns.  We hope that you can all attend and please RSVP.

The very next morning, Wednesday, Nov. 6, we have our first RPA coffee from 8:15 to 9 am in the California Room, followed by a short RPA meeting from 9 to 9:30 am.

In addition to the holiday shopping opportunities supplied by the Book Fair, our spirit wear website is up and running.  Hoodies, T-shirts and other items emblazoned with our new Raskob Roadrunner emblem are available for purchase.  We are offering these items at cost in order to boost school spirit and to keep them affordable.  A big thank you to Mark Vega for creating and operating the online spirit wear store.

Our wonderful RPA Secretary, Zondra Howe, can no longer attend our monthly RPA meetings due to a change in her work schedule.  Thus, we are looking for someone who in interested in becoming a member of the RPA Board and taking notes for the remaining 6 meetings.  It is a manageable task and one that will greatly increase one's knowledge of Raskob and the RPA.  If you are interested, please email Zondra.  She can provide more details.

Lastly, THANK YOU to everyone who contributed dues to the RPA.  We have a 67% participation rate and the money is a key source of funding.  Please know that we are very careful in how we spend the money and our goal is to have virtually all of it benefit the students, faculty and the school directly.

Best Regards,
Marianne
