Raskob's Pre-Holiday Book Fair
November 4-8, 2013

Looking for an opportunity to get a head start on holiday shopping while doing something good for your child and Raskob Day School?
Well, look no further because starting November 4-8, you can purchase books and holiday gifts at the Raskob Book Fair on campus and online. Raskob's neighborhood bookstore, Laurel Books, is once again bringing the book store right to you and making it easier than ever.

This year you can purchase books two ways:
1. Stop by the school library before or after school to shop, RPA volunteers will be available at limited times November 5, 6, and 7 to take orders and process purchases. Stay tuned for more info.
2. Come to the RPA sponsored Parent Education Night on Tuesday, November 5 and shop before hand. Volunteers will be ready to help.
3. Shop online anytime November 4-8.

In addition to fun and informative books for Raskob students and their siblings, we will have some of your favorite cookbooks, parenting, gardening, decorating and travel guides.

Please send Becky or Carla the titles/authors of the books that you are looking to purchase for yourself or as gifts and we can to have them available at the Book Fair.   Please email your lists to  or .

Don't forget a portion of the sale proceeds helps purchase books for the Raskob Day School classrooms and library.  So the more we buy the more our kids and teachers benefit!

Help make the Book Fair a big success. We're counting on you!

The Raskob Parent Association invites you to our first parent education event of 2013-14.

Monthly Faculty/Staff Breakfast
These take place on the last Friday of the month starting in October. Each class takes turns hosting the event for all Raskob faculty and staff. If school is not in session the last Friday, we move the breakfast to an earlier Friday. Please see schedule below for dates and class assignments.

October 25: Benbrook
November 22: Hagstrom
January 31: Cohen, Valerie, & Higuera
February 28: Marsh
March 28: Sweeney
April 25: Williford

As you can see, there is not a breakfast planned in December.  Instead, a special holiday lunch is planned.  The suggested menu is bagels, pastries, a hot dish like quiche, coffee, juice, and fruit. Each class will be contacted by their room parent for sign ups.
