Today's Reading
Fifth Sunday of Easter

As the number of disciples continued to grow,
the Hellenists complained against the Hebrews
because their widows
were being neglected in the daily distribution.
So the Twelve called together the community of the disciples and said,
"It is not right for us to neglect the word of God to serve at table.
Brothers, select from among you seven reputable men,
filled with the Spirit and wisdom,
whom we shall appoint to this task,
whereas we shall devote ourselves to prayer
and to the ministry of the word."
The proposal was acceptable to the whole community,
so they chose Stephen, a man filled with faith and the Holy Spirit,
also Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas,
and Nicholas of Antioch, a convert to Judaism.
They presented these men to the apostles
who prayed and laid hands on them.
The word of God continued to spread,
and the number of the disciples in Jerusalem increased greatly;
even a large group of priests were becoming obedient to the faith.

The Summer Business Institute (SBI) is a week-long summer program for rising high school juniors and seniors at The Busch School to immerse them into entrepreneurship and business leadership through the lens of Catholic Social Teaching. From Sunday, June 18th through Friday, June 23rd, high school students interested in business will have the opportunity to dive hands-on into business principles, competitions, and leadership applications, while experiencing a taste of college life in Washington, D.C. I was also a camp counselor last summer, and the camp was such an incredible example of what the business school at CUA has to offer.

You can find applications and more information on our website , through the attached flyer, and our SBI video.
