Today's Reading
Twenty-first Sunday in Ordinary Time

Thus says the LORD:
I know their works and their thoughts,
and I come to gather nations of every language;
they shall come and see my glory.
I will set a sign among them;
from them I will send fugitives to the nations:
to Tarshish, Put and Lud, Mosoch, Tubal and Javan,
to the distant coastlands
that have never heard of my fame, or seen my glory;
and they shall proclaim my glory among the nations.
They shall bring all your brothers and sisters from all the nations
as an offering to the LORD,
on horses and in chariots, in carts, upon mules and dromedaries,
to Jerusalem, my holy mountain, says the LORD,
just as the Israelites bring their offering
to the house of the LORD in clean vessels.
Some of these I will take as priests and Levites, says the LORD.

7 AM to 5 PM. Please make necessary arrangements so that your student does not arrive too early or has to remain later than 5 PM unless they are participating in an after school activity.

Back To School Night
All families are invited to attend our annual Back to School night program on Wednesday, August 31st. We will begin at 6:30 PM in the gym. Please confirm your student's schedule with them prior to arriving.

Transportation News
We have had an outstanding response from student drivers registering their vehicles and picking up their parking tags. All students intending to drive to and from school must pick-up and fill-out a parking registration form from Mr. Gutilla to secure a school parking lot permit (hanger).

ALL student drivers MUST have a parking permit.  Administrators will start checking the parking lot for parking permits on Monday, August 22nd, so it is advised that if your student driver has not yet picked up a registration form and parking permit to do so immediately.

Students not yet driving who receive their driver's licenses during the school year must pick-up a registration form from Mr. Gutilla prior to the first day they drive their vehicle to and from school.

The cost of the permit is $10.00 and is charged to FACTS.  There is no need for exchange of cash.

2016-2017 St Dominic Savio Booster Club

Check out this flyer with highlights for the year!

DID YOU KNOW - that Savio does not charge a per sport fee?

Some schools charge fees between $100-$400 per sport not included in tuition. Therefore, multiple kids, more than one sport can add up quickly.  They do this because it costs a lot of money to run an athletic program.  At St Dominic Savio, your booster club membership helps to keep our programs running strong!  It also helps to ensure that every  student is provided access to a Savio sport.  In 2015-2016 we had over 80% of our teams make it to district playoffs or beyond. Five teams sent athletes to State Competitions!

Go Eagles, Cheers for an even stronger 2016-2017!

Join Booster Club Today - Join Now!

Support Our Eagles!

New Robotics Season!
For the past seven seasons, the St. Dominic Savio "Iron Eagles" robotics teams have been among the top-ranked teams in the state, and we're ready to reach even higher goals in 2016! Each year, our teams race to design, build, program, and drive custom robots to compete in the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC), an annual competition that inspires thousands of students from throughout the USA and the world.

The FIRST program (www.firstinpires.org) was created in 1989 to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders, by engaging them in exciting Mentor-based programs that build science, engineering, and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.

Our new team formation is starting right now, so if you are interested in joining one of these teams:

  • Meet with our mentors during one of our regular team meetings. From Aug. 23 - Sept. 8, we will be meeting Tue./Thur., 4:30-6:30, in the Computer Science Lab; starting Sept. 12 we will be meeting Mon.-Thu., same time and location.
