With a renewed focus for 2013, KDT started out with a very successful and busy January. We had the exciting opportunity to showcase excerpts of TransMigration for Ontario Dances. KDT attended the annual CAPACOA Conference in Toronto. Rehearsals for our Medicine Bear tour commenced at the end of the month and our 2013 tour kicks off in February. We will be traveling across Ontario with Prologue to the Performing Arts and will also be touring in the United States. Coming up in March is our 2nd Annual March Break Performance Camp taking place in St. Catharines, Ontario. Thank you for all for your support and encouragement. Showcasing excerpts from TransMigration
We are very excited to have had the opportunity to showcase excerpts from TransMigration as part of Ontario Dances on January 21st. We want to thank all presenters and OAC members that were present for this exciting event. TransMigration had it's World Premiere in May 2012 at the Fleck Dance Theatre in co-production with Planet IndigenUS, Harbourfront Centre. To learn more about this work, click here. Kaha:wi Dance Theatre is excited to be hosting our 2nd annual March Break Performance Camp (MBPC) co-presented by Brock University's Department of Leisure and Recreation and Brock University's Centre for the Arts! MBPC will take place at Ballet Etc... Studio for the Arts in St. Catharines, Ontario. Youth ages 9 - 14 will learn a variety of dance styles including Contemporary, First Nations dance styles, Hip Hop, Choreography, Drama and more! DETAILS Mon. Mar 11 - Fri.
