Tampa Bay Trade & Protocol Council Receives IIE Generation Study Abroad Award

On Friday, October 2, The Tampa Bay Trade & Protocol Council was awarded the 2015 IIE Generation Study Abroad Award by The Institute of International Education in recognition of the outstanding contributions that the Council has made toward increasing international exchange and building a globally-minded workforce in Tampa Bay.
The IIE Generation Study Abroad Award recognizes individuals and organizations that encourage purposeful, innovative action to get more Americans to undertake an international experience by supporting the mission of Generation Study Abroad. Allan Goodman, president and CEO of the Institute of International Education, commended the Council for its efforts. "The work of the Tampa Bay Trade and Protocol Council serves as a model for cross-sectoral partnerships and cross-border collaboration," Goodman said. "Your efforts demonstrate the positive impact that international partnerships can have on a community and economy and emphasize the value of a study abroad or internship abroad experience to building a globally-minded workforce."

A professional gap analysis or needs assessment provided to the entrepreneur that focuses on specific critical success factors
A FIT Two membership to the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce, allowing the entrepreneur to take advantage of the Chamber's networking program and free educational offerings through the Competitive Edge Series

The H.L. Culbreath, Jr. Profile in Leadership Award was created in 1997 to annually recognize an individual whose leadership has made a positive impact on the Greater Tampa community. Named in honor of its first recipient, a man whose civic philanthropy and long service personified leadership, the award has quickly become the area's most prestigious honor.
This award, established by Leadership Tampa Alumni, will be presented at the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce's Annual Meeting on Thursday, December 17 at the Tampa Convention Center. It recognizes leadership in a variety of forms such as civic, cultural, economic, charitable, recreational and educational.

Member Marks Milestone with Chamber Ambassadors
Executives from Peak 10, including CEO Dave Jones and VP/GM Cheryl Kleiman, along with Mayor Buckhorn participated in a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the opening of their 25th data center. This new facility is one of the largest expansions for Peak 10 and adds 65,000 sq. feet of additional data center and office space to its existing Tampa footprint.
