Tampa Named "Best in the Southeast" by Money Magazine

Time Inc.'s Money magazine has listed Tampa among the "five best big cities" in the nation with Tampa named as the "Best in the Southeast." The magazine cites Tampa's affordable real estate, airport expansion and ability to lure corporate giants as reasons why Tampa is one of the best places to live in 2015. Tampa is listed among other popular urban cities including Pittsburgh, the site of the Chamber's 2014 Benchmarking trip, and Denver, this year's Benchmarking destination. Click here to read more.

Cuba Update

On Friday, August 14, Secretary of State John Kerry raised the flag above the American embassy in Cuba. With this historical event, a new chapter begins in the relationship between the people of Cuba and the United States. While there is much work to be done, the road to normalization is one step closer to reality. As the possibility of commerce with Cuba continues to grow, the Chamber looks forward to a day when businesses in Tampa Bay can engage with businesses in Cuba.
