Florida Legislature Reconvenes with Special Session
The Florida Legislature is back in session this week to tackle issues that were not resolved during the regular session. This includes agreeing upon and passing a state budget to be implemented on July 1. The Florida Senate continues to amend their health care expansion plan in an attempt to address the Florida House's concerns. The House appears to remain in opposition to the Senate plan and is scheduled to vote on the issue Friday. Both chambers must come to an agreement in order to pass a budget within the next two weeks.
